TOO SOON TO SEE
Polished. Professional. Perfect. Dead. Respected scientist Dr Eleanor Costello is found hanged in her immaculate home: the scene the very picture of a suicide.
TOO LATE TO HIDE
DCS Frankie Sheehan is handed the case, and almost immediately spots foul play. Sheehan, a trained profiler, is seeking a murderer with a talent for death.
TOO CLOSE TO BREATHE
As Frankie strives to paint a picture of the killer, and their victim, she starts to sense they are part of a larger, darker canvas, on which the lines between the two blur.
Olivia Kiernan’s debut is a bold, brilliant thriller that will keep you guessing and leave you breathless.
Review
Many thanks to the author, the publisher and blog tour organiser Anne Cater for the ARC of Too Close to Breathe in return for an honest review.
A great storyline is so very important to the enjoyment of reading. Luckily the writer Olivia Kiernan, delivers a first class thriller with a touch of class and spade loads of tension. It is claustrophobic in how it shuts you within the story and left me feeling encased within the events as they unravelled. It’s almost feels like your on the edge of a chasm, looking out of the edge, gripping on tight, not knowing if the last pages will bring you or the characters any sense of relief. It might sound terrifying, but it’s not, it’s liberating to let the story enclose you. By surrendering your emotions to Olivia Kerman’s writing, the time you give the story and the characters, will be paid back by not only the quality of the writing but by the feelings it will invoke in you.
